YouTube Backlash Begins - But, they were only avoiding Lawsuits!!

Fucking youtube deleted my account awhile back without even sending me an e-mail. I had the account for at least 2 or 3 years and probably had nearly 100 videos. Just sucks doggy balls that they deleted it. Most of the videos where small clips from people interviewed for retroCRUSH. Not sure why they wouldn't be considered fair use?

Plus, I had uploaded a pro-Clinton video a week or two before and wham-o my account gets deleted out of the blue. I tried to e-mail them, but got a canned reply letter from some woman in India. Fuck you youtube! Fuck you! Now all the work/clips I made are gone & there's just empty embedded links on the retroCRUSH website.

I can't believe they don't have a better system in place to at least fucking tell you're in danger of having your account deleted. Pompous, hypocritical assholes...in that most of their content & the reason why people go to their website is to see copyrighted content such as music videos or movie clips. Can't believe how quickly they can just kill your account. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well.

read more | digg story

Dear Livejournal,

Yes, I know it's been a long time since I've posted in you. I think ever since my poor Fotki account expired & I was so pissed off a them that I didn't pay the extra money to get the deluxe account which would have linked the photos.

I know you feel neglected and abandoned with such fancy stars as myspace kicking butt all over the place & being the most visited website on the planet. The thing is myspace sucks doodie ass in that it has a really funky design & isn't nearly as personal or fun as livejournal.

So maybe my long lost friend I'll rediscover & start posting in you again. I sort of miss sharing my thoughts with you.

Oh yeah...I see you've been lurking around and posting a bit Flagpolesitta and Devilbadtz. Hell-O to both of ya.

Russ Meyer Biography reading -

Reading through the biography of Russ Meyer which started off slow, but fortunately has gotten better. Had no idea that the guy suffered from Alzheimer's towards the end of his life. I will have to say Faster Pussycat Kill Kill is still one of my all time favorite movies. From Beyond the Valley of the Dolls is GREAT too. I've been meaning to watch his other movies, but his estate still has an awful lot of control over his movies & they hardly ever release them on video or DVD. Before Russ died he also wrote an a 6 volume book about his life, but the darn thing is $129. Argh. I doubt any library would actually have this thing.

Heard a snapping sound under the sink a couple of days ago, but I didn't have the heart to take a look & see if a mouse had been caught. I always have traps under there. Anyway...I finally took a look & ugh talk about some icky gore. I'm such a whoose considering all the horror movies I've sat through. Well, least I got him. Ugh. I keep things pretty clean under there though. So gross! I just went ahead and tossed the entire thing in the trash.

Hope everyone is doing well. Today was a beautiful day out. I was broke, but I managed to take myself out on a bike ride & read the Russ Meyer book for hours on end at the local college which happens to be the pretties place here in Turdlock.

Wow...it's been forever since I've updated my journal. Not much going on with me. I've been working on a few interviews for retroCRUSH!

Cindy Morgan - Tron
Lana Wood - The late, great Natalie Wood's kid sister
Tura Satana of Faster Pussycat Kill Kill fame - you're missing out if you've never seen this movie

Dunno how many of you check out retroCRUSH, but Robert's been doing some pretty cool Podcasts lately. Check em out over here:
http://www.retrocrush.com/podcast.html

Plus, I did attempt to do my own website, but there's been some problems with the hosting & I've also realized that I'm just really, really lazy about updating anything.

I guess in the last couple of months I've been trying to get out from under all the shit I've bought at the Thrift Store. I mean I literally had boxes & boxes of crap. It's kind of cool when you get into the mood to scan & make fun of things, but when you lose that moment it just seems like you're surrounded by crap.

I couldn't part with everything, but I did do somecleaning & I feel like I've gotten some space back in life & in my house. It's odd because when I first started lj everyone was way into it, but after a couple of years I guess things simmer down. Then again I might just be projecting my own mindset into things.

Eventually I'll start posting a few pics I took from the camera maybe that'll re-inspire me to get creative. Hope everyone is doing well!

The 80's Cafe

I realize I haven't really made an entry about my life in quite so time so I thought I'd go ahead and update everyone at this point. Oddlly enough I'm going to be turning 36 soon. Argh sometimes that seems so freaking old. Even though I haven't been terribly productive I guess you still get into patterns of life.

At the moment I'm sitting at a local Cafe spinning lots & lots of old 80's vinyl records. It's kind of fun and I've been doing it way too much lately. The Antique store down the street has all kinds of old 80's records for $1 & $2 dollars so I can't help, but continue to buy even though I can't really afford the 10 or 20 albums I've been picking up at a time.

There's something cool about vinyl. It definitely has a particular sound to it when it's played & it's fun for me to be able to buy all of these albums from my youth I wasn't able to afford. At the moment I'm listening to a 12" of Fascination by the Human League. For all of you other old people out there. Did you know that they are still together?

I'm also now playing a 12" of "Be Near Me" by ABC. The other 2 songs I just played were 19 by Paul Hardcastle & Russian Radio by Red Flag. Damn they use to play this music ages ago on the regular stations. Hard to believe they're considered retro classics these days. Most of these kids wouldn't know any of these damn groups, but I enjoy spinning the vinyl & it's even niftier because they have 2 turntables where you can fade one song into the next. I feel so much like an 80's DJ. At least some of you other old timers would enjoy the music I play.

I'm sure the poor, cute 22 year old boy who works here wants to kill me. I imagine it's a bit like if I was his age & some old hippies were playing there stinky music back in the day.

Funny that I stumbled upon this interview from 17 years ago after watching him on the season premiere of Surreal Life 4 on VH1 Sunday night.

I can't help but plug a recent interview I did with Tammy Faye Bakker that has just gone up on retroCRUSH. She was a lot of fun to talk to & the documentary about PTL & her life "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" is also worth checking out.

Click on Tammy to get to it.

A link I left out of the interview is one with Tammy at the gay Red Circuit party in 2001. She seems very accepting, but honest she looks a little uncomfortable immerse in all that homo ness. Maybe it's the assless chaps that was freaking her out.

http://www.redparty.net/thumbs.html

I had these albums laying around for awhile. I apologize for not getting better photos of them. I don't know why I didn't think about propping them up & them taking pics. I blame it all on the pain medication I've been popping like candy. I'm not becoming an addict. In fact it's almost too embarassing to talk about.

Basically all I can say is it's really, really important not to ignore any dental pain you might be having even if you don't currently have insurance & it's going to end up costing you a $1,000,000,000 dollars. I had no idea that it can actually become somewhat life threatening. Well, enough of my bullshit lets get on with the show.

Damn, those are some crazy heels on that waitress. Must be a bitch to serve all those truckers wearing those. You know I can't help but wonder why exactly she's wearing green heels unless of course it's to match something she's wearing under her uniform. She better watch out though that trucker in the back looks like he's trying to sneak in to rape her.

When I was a kid I thought Minnie Pearl looked like the craziest, but most fun person ever. Sort of what you'd like an aunt or grandma to be. In this pic I can't exactly figure out what's going on. If they were all screaming & driving around like this I think they should be locked up in the slammer. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't mind owning one of those blue cowboy outfits.

Another one of those crazy fusions that leaves scratching your head thinking, "What the fuck?" Swing Disco? That's almost like mixing Jazz with thrash metal.

Betcha you didn't know this was the original "Amityville Horror" title. I honestly like the look of the font & the drawings. As you might have already realized the Beast in the Basement they're referring to is an organ. I have several of them buried in my basement. They make great snacks in the winter. Just reheat in the microwave & serve with Whip Creme.

Another great title. That's Mr. Cha Cha Cha to you.

Ok...I don't even know why I'm putting this link, but I stumbled upon it looking for something else. It's just a crazy nudity ad for a porn site. It's oddly interesting though. Dunno why. Funny to hear the female announcer try to sound all sexxxy.

I guess my question is why exactly would anyone want to run around a virtual red light district on the internet.
Maybe it's more fun to be virtually smutty. I'm gay & I'm almost tempted to download the software to meet real men & women in the virtual red light district. I wonder if I'll see any virtual crackwhores or hopefully I won't catch a virtual STD.

Red Light Center
